Nostalgique
Nostalgique was created by William Jarboe (Barbelith) as a side project during 2012, intended to be more free form and experimental in nature with more emphasis to improvisation and collaboration. It now serves as a more diary outlet that is consistently offering excellent craftsmanship in the scale of writing depth. Starting out with a more post-dsbm style the project soon took on emo, doom, shoe gaze, and other "post" elements. Because of the emphasis on imorovistiaon and collaboration there are several compilations of improvised offerings known as the "Exploration" series.
2023 saw the release of the two most comprehensive offerings in writings to date;
Ephemeral Waves Lapping Upon the Unchanging Shores of Infinity (ambient piano driven expeiermental black metal with post emo elements)

2024 will see the release of "Final Fantasia"; continuing the journey of ambient based post emo black metal quest
